February 4 (Wednesday) -- Khalid Sayood (Electrical Engineering) Structure in DNA Sequences In this talk we examine several different approaches to looking for structures in DNA sequences which provide clues to how the information in DNA is organized. We also show how this process of discovery has resulted in a the development of tools for fragment assembly, phylogenetic analysis and the discovery of regulatory structures.
